Landscape of Light

This visualization for general relaxation was inspired by the painting Parallel Realities by Col McGunnigle.

You stand on a path. All around you things are shifting. Waves of light energy of different colours move, change, and flow, coming together to form what would be the ground below your feet and the sky above you.

The clouds overhead float in every direction, their colours turning from blue to gray to yellow to black to rose. Are they clouds?

A forest in the distance, its trees also shifting in colour, seems to expand and contract as if taking deep, slow breaths. You observe it for a few moments and change your breathing to match. In and out. Slow and deep.

Below your feet the ground seems firm. Waves of energy from all around have pressed together to hold you steady, to support you. A little ways beyond where you stand, ahead and behind, the path and the ground itself are translucent, iridescent.

You take a few steps forward, trusting, and energy moves to come together to support you. You continue to walk.

Now you have reached a field of flowers as big as small trees. They too are waves of energy. Hyacinths, sunflowers, daffodils, tulips all growing tall above your head. Their giant faces are turned up to the sun, occasionally glancing down to watch your progress along the path before turning upwards once more.

Now, you come across a small cluster of your favourite flower, several feet taller than you know them to be. You leave the path and go to rest at the base of one of the large stalks. You lean against it, make yourself comfortable, and look up to see the flower looking down at you curiously before tuning its face once again to the sun.

You close your eyes and rest, basking in the sunlight and feeling the radiation of warmth from the light energy around you.

Stay with this as long as you wish.
