And Yet They Spring Forth

Visualization for amplifying creativity

This visualization was inspired by the painting Be Kind To Yourself by Deniz Altug

Make yourself comfortable. Take several breaths. And allow your mind to come to rest.

With your mind’s eye you see nothing but soft white. You are there, bodiless, cocooned in the softness. You feel safe and held.

From below you see movement. A gentle swelling of a delicate teal fog rising towards you. For a few moments it billows outward and then it is gone, lost to the soft white that is everything.

Another hint of movement this time to your right from above. At first it is a smudge against the white, but then it springs forth, an olive green cloud expanding from the size of a marble to a small star in mere moments. And then it too is gone.

From the left, the palest of pinks and the clearest of blues swirl slowly, close together, before bursting forth into a tumbling cloud of canary yellow, burnt orange, amethyst, rose, and dark cyan. For several seconds they tumble through the whiteness and then are gone.

This continues all around you. Clouds of striking colour springing forth and then receding into the whiteness with increasing frequency until they surround you, until it is the whiteness which can only be seen for mere moments before giving way to the next burst of colours.

Stay with this image as long as you wish.
