A few days ago during one of the spirituality discussions that often breaks out in my awesome yoga class ☺️, I realized an idea that really resonated and stayed in my mind.
Intention is a lens.
It is the lens that focuses the powerful energies of the Universe. Giving them purpose and bring them to one unified point.
Just as a lens can focus sunlight into a fine stream hot enough to burn a hole in piece of paper, our intentions focus the abundant energies of the Universe on one point. That point is whatever we desire to create. Whatever we are desire to be, do, or have.
But it takes a bit of time to burn a hole hole.
No, not time. It takes mass. It takes a certain build up of energy from the focused sunlight on the paper. You’ll get a browning of the paper, you’ll get smoke, and eventually a little flame and a hole.
But we often don’t keep our clear intention and focus long enough to get our desired result. We see “smoke” or the browning of the paper and think we failed. “That’s not what I wanted.” “I really can’t do this.” “Who was I to think that I could pull this off?” And weeks/days/hours/seconds before we were about to create what we wanted, seconds before the little flame in the piece of paper, we undermine ourselves or give up completely.
Which is the equivalent of throwing muddy water on our lens, or putting it back in our pocket.
This message below popped up during this morning’s Love Meditation.
“We see you trying. So much effort.
And we so deeply appreciate your desires to increase your capacity for Love. For your benefit but also for the benefit of all those around you.
We thank you.
But please know, at the very depths of your Being, that your intention is enough. It is what is needed. There lies your power.
There are many beliefs and sayings that erode the power of intention.
But we ask what has ever been created in this Universe without it?
Your intention acts as a lens, harnessing the energies of the Universe and funnelling them towards one point.
Your intention sets the entire Universe in motion.”
