My understanding of integrity has been limited. I viewed integrity as keeping your word, being truthful, and not acting in ways that contradict your True Self and core values.
Now I realize there’s another inward-facing aspect of integrity. Integrity also involves not leaving parts of yourself behind or trying to banish or obscure them because they don’t fit your vision of who you want to be.
Having true integrity means being truthful and honest about who and what you are in this Now moment, not just with the words you say. Parts of you that are in shadow or that have broken off or fragmented from the rest need to be brought back into the Whole.
Actually, they don’t need to be brought back. They are always there. They need to be welcomed into the Whole and not made to feel less then.
And we ourselves need to not feel less than because they exist within us. No shame, no guilt.
Integrity means embracing the whole of who we are Now, acting in accordance with our Truth, and loving the parts of ourselves that are not quite in alignment yet.
I will maintain my integrity.
