Meditation to shift your focus and awareness from you thoughts
To start, settle yourself into a comfortable sitting position and take several breaths.
Then bring your awareness to the centre of your chest and try to feel your heart beating.
You are not thinking about your heart or your breath.
You are simply feeling.
Whether you are able to feel your heart beating in your chest or not makes no difference. The intention is to move out of your head. To move from thinking to feeling. To move from thought awareness to body and space awareness.
Your thoughts may still very well be there but they are in the background. They do not have the spotlight of your awareness.
You are simply feeling.
