You take a step. Your back arched forward, one arm stretched out in front of you, the other curved at your side. You hold.
The next step forward. Both arms held up now, hands just above your head. One leg bent beneath you the other reaching to the side. You hold.
A step back now. Arms pushed straight out in front of you, palms forward. Back straight, tummy taut, head held high. You hold.
You step again. With each step you feel the muscles of your body moving slowly to their new positions. And when the time is right you hold. You hold until it is the perfect time to move again.
Movement and stillness.
