2021 Week 30 Contemplation Thoughts
- Our consideration of worth is very much tied to money, even if in some instances at first glance it looks like it’s not
- What is she worth? = How much money does she have?
- Worth = how special we think something is
- How do we define special, though? Rarity, how much we want/respect it
- I think in our society we often base worth on what we think the the can get us.
- We value skills I can get us money or prestige/respect and not those that can’t, for example
- What people think a tree is the worst varies greatly in our society
