Does doubt come back again and again or is it that it never really left in the first place?
Self doubt is corrosive. It eats away at every decision you make
It’s interesting how people can have zero doubt about not great or potentially dangerous ideas but be filled with doubt about an idea that will benefit them
Doubt doesn’t actually tell us whether the thing being doubted is good or bad, true or false. It tells us about our beliefs, ideas, opinions around that thing.
Doubt pops up where there is discord. Discord between the subject and one or more of our beliefs
doubt = discord
There is fear-based doubt and clarity-based doubt. Whether the doubt is serving you or not depends on which belief it is arising from
So I guess I have to amend my second statement. Self doubt is corrosive. Fear-based doubt is corrosive. Clarity-based doubt can be empowering
Doubt is empowering when you doubt lies you would have previously accepted, when you doubt the words of authority figures you would have never before questioned. This can happen when you shed old limiting beliefs and look on things with new eyes
