One thing that I have grown to appreciate about my energy work and meditation practice is that my understanding is changing. It really underscores the whole “not one and done” concept. Change is the only constant, and what makes perfect sense to me today and serves me well may evolve and change tomorrow.
My understanding of what was happening energy wise during a Hold With Love Meditation shifted this week. I used to see it as me adding my stream of energy to the stream of love energy that is always flowing to a particular subject. Now, however, the idea of me being a conduit makes sense.
So it’s not that I am using my focus to flow my energy to a topic. Rather by tuning myself to the frequency of love I connect one end of the conduit that is me to that energy and my focus connects the other end of the conduit to the subject.
By doing this meditation I am providing another pathway along which the life-sustaining energy of love can reach a particular animal, task, situation, group, etc.
This applies not just when we do a meditation like this but rather any time we focus. For example, if we are frustrated and cooking, we are connecting the inflow side of our conduit to the energy of frustration and the outflow side to our actions and food. If we are angry and writing an email, we are providing a conduit along which the energy of anger can flow to the email we are typing and the person for whom it is intended.
Even if I feel justified in my anger, I do not want it to infuse my thoughts and everything that I do. Will I be a conduit for love, compassion, and harmony?
