Last year I wrote a blog post titled Hold With Love ~ How I Start. I talked about how during a Hold With Love meditation I mentally repeat the phrase “I choose the hold XYZ with love” during the meditation to help me bring my mind back if it wanders.
This still holds true, but I’ve changed slightly. Now I find that repeating that entire phase may actually pull me further out of meditation if my mind has only wandered a little. Perhaps because saying an entire phrase is activating my thinking mind more.
So now if I feel like only a bit of refocusing is needed I will simply say the name of the subject of focus for that meditation. This brings me right back. If I’m completely out of the meditative state then I’ll use the phrase, multiple times if necessary.
