Setting the Tone

Exercise to be done to help make a decision when faced with multiple options

Withdraw your focus from the choices in front of you and pull your attention within. You can sit quietly where you are or move to a different location (even just to the other side of the room).

Take a few moments to be still and allow your mind and energy to settle down. (You may want to try a short meditation like the 7 Breaths Exercise).

Once you have found some internal quiet, ask yourself what feeling you want to have when you are living with the choice you are about to make. If you are choosing between different books, for example, do you want to feel inspired or excited? Soothed or intrigued?

Whichever feeling you want to have, feel it now. Allow that feeling to grow inside you until its vibration is stronger than any feelings of confusion or worry you may have had before.

With this new tone strong within you, look again at your options and pay attention to how they now feel to you. You will find that some of them will fall away as they now just don’t feel right, and others, or perhaps just one, will jump out at you.
